Varilrix® is a live attenuated Varicella Vaccine (IP) manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for active immunization against Varicella (chickenpox). Each pack contains a single-dose vial of freeze-dried vaccine along with a 0.5 mL prefilled syringe of sterile diluent for reconstitution. After mixing, the reconstituted vaccine provides one 0.5 mL dose for subcutaneous injection, containing not less than 2000 PFU (plaque-forming units) of live attenuated Varicella-Zoster virus. This vaccine is recommended for individuals who are susceptible to chickenpox and provides protection by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies. Varilrix® reduces the risk of chickenpox infection and its associated complications. Administration should only be performed by a registered healthcare professional under proper medical supervision.
